My Work

I paint in oils on canvas and paper because of the luminosity one can achieve with oils paints. When I look at my subjects I try to see beneath the surface of the skin to its foundation, skeletal structure, muscles and finally its energy.

  • The spirit of a polar bear in Canada
  • The communal nature of musk oxen in Quebec
  • Orangutans surviving in a depleting habitat in Borneo
